Planning a photo shoot is hard. 

Finding the perfect thing to wear for your photos is stresssssful.

But my last shoot wasn’t stressful.  The opposite, it was a DREAM!!!  I’m getting emotional just thinking about it.

Erica of @stay_co styled me and I felt like a goddess. 

I sent her messages about colors I loved and my body type, like why I can’t wear a sleeveless dress because I NEED a bra, and that the waist needs to be cinched and then flow out because my hips really don’t lie.  She carefully listened then sent me a mood board with links to incredible pieces I never would’ve found. I saw it and instantly knew she got me. 

The dress we ended up with was hands down the BEST fitting dress I’ve ever worn.  I never wanted to take it off.  And in the end, I didn’t even need to wear a bra because it had such good structure.  Who knew?  Well, Erica did.

She styled my sweetheart too.  Just by looking at his Instagram photos and asking me a few size questions she was able to THRIFT an entire look that fit him perfectly.  He looked like the hottest Dolce & Gabbana campaign you’ve ever seen.  And she THRIFTED it!  HOW?!  

Because she is a TALENTED, MAGIC, STYLING WIZARD. 

Neither Mike or I are standard model sizes with model bodies.  But we felt like models all day.

Without her help, it would’ve been a nightmare filled with months of stress and second guessing. There’s no way I would’ve come up with anything this perfect.  

Since I was already styled and made up, I wanted to take ALLLLL my photos.  So, I had my kids and mom come at the end and we played and got family photos too.  I didn’t have her style my kids because I didn’t know that was an option, but I wish I would’ve!  It would’ve saved me so much time and frustration.

Here’s the thing, if you’re already done up for business photos, family photos, or engagements you REALLY SHOULD BE maximizing the heck outta that makeup and having your dream photos taken that same day. It just makes sense. 

Most of us don’t prioritize dream photos of ourselves, so although it would be an amazing thing, it never happens.  We do, however, make time for family photos, business photos, engagements…. if you’re already made up and at a gorgeous location with a photographer, it’s the easiest thing to bring a bucket list dream shoot to life while you’re at it. 

I recently ordered prints and am so excited to put them in minimalistic, matted frames and fill my home with beautiful, happy memories.  They’re something I will NEVER regret and will increase in value over time.

These photos help me see my own unique beauty and strengths.  I didn’t see these photos on Pinterest and try to copy someone’s style.  This is MY style, just elevated for a photo shoot, which is what Erica can do for you with your own style.
